Recipe Ingredients
- 900 grams raw bananas
- 125 ml water
- 8 tbsp sugar
- Oil as required to deep fry
Recipe Preparation
- Take a large pot/kadhai and heat it with oil to deep fry.
- Slice the bananas with the help of a mandolin slicer and keep aside.
- Once the oil is hot, fry the sliced bananas in batches.
- Deep fry the banana slices till it changes colour and is almost crisp.
- When the oil stops bubbling, remove the banana chips and place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
- To make the syrup, heat a pan and pour in the water and sugar together. Bring it to a boil.
- Stir this mixture well together then switch off the heat. Let syrup cool down.
- Once the syrup is cool, dip the banana chips into it and drain the excess syrup if any. Keep aside.
- When the syrup dries up, you can choose to store these banana chips in a container.
- Serve with a cup of tea to enjoy it at its best.
