One Pot Pav Bhaji Recipe Using Preethi Electric Pressure Cooker

The One Pot Pav Bhaji Recipe is made using Preethi Electric Pressure Cooker. The recipe is very similar to the classic pav bhaji recipe, with just a small difference, it simply gets done in less than 30 minutes. Add all the ingredients into the electric pressure cooker, add the spices and the dish will be done in no time. 
Serve the One Pot Electric Pressure Cooker Pav Bhaji along with toasted buns, with some onions sprinkled on the top.

Ingredients

    Main Ingredients for Pav Bhaji
  • 12 pav buns
  • finely chopped onions, for serving
  • finely chopped coriander leaves, for garnishing
  • Ingredients for the Bhaji
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic,grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 large green capsicum, finely chopped
  • 2 small carrots, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 teaspoons pav bhaji masala
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 cup cooked green peas, steamed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt to taste

Directions for One Pot Pav Bhaji Recipe Using Preethi Electric Pressure Cooker

  1. We will begin making the Pav bhaji using  Preethi Electric Pressure Cooker.
  2. First set to the gravy mode, so we can saute the masala for the pav bhaji. Once the cooker is heated, add the oil, onion, garlic, ginger and saute until the raw smell from the onion goes away.
  3. Once it does, add all the remaining ingredients for the bhaji except, the steamed green peas, butter and lemon juice.
  4. Stir well, add a little 1/2 cup of water, Lock the lid in place. Set the timer for 30 minutes and allow it to cook until you hear the beep sound.
  5. Once done, allow the pressure to release naturally in the electric pressure cooker.
  6. Open the cooker, mash the pav bhaji using a potato masher until it looks creamy and well mashed. Add the lemon juice and butter and stir. Check the taste and adjust accordingly. Once done, transfer the One Pot Electric Pressure Cooker Pav Bhaji to a serving bowl.
  7. Serve the One Pot Electric Pressure Cooker Pav Bhaji along with toasted buns, with some onions sprinkled on the top.
