Hot and Sour Chicken Recipe

Hot and Sour Chicken is a lipsmaking finger licking delicious chicken dish. It taste spicy as well as little sour, hence the name. This taste great with noodles or fried rice. I served it with my chicken fried rice.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Oil - 3 tblspn

Ginger - 1 tblspn finely chopped
Garlic - 1 tblspn finely chopped
Green Chillies - 3 chopped
Onion - 1 medium size cubed
Bell Pepper - 1 medium size cubed
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Water as needed

For Chicken:
Chicken Breast - 2 chopped into chunks
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cornflour - 3 to 4 tblspn
Water as needed

For Sauce:
Tomato Ketchup - 3 tblspn
Red Chilli Sauce - 2 tblspn
Green Chilli Sauce - 2 tblspn
Soy Sauce - 2 tsp
Vinegar - 1 tsp

Method:

Take chicken in a bowl and add all the other ingredients. Mix well.

Now mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.

Heat oil in a frying pan, add chicken and fry for couple of mins.

Now add in ginger, garlic, chillies, onions and peppers and toss well.Cook for 4 to 5 mins

Add in salt, sugar, pepper and chilli powder. Mix well.

Add in the sauce and toss well to coat.

Now add in water and mix well. Cook for 3 to 4 mins till the sauce thickens.

Serve.

add water


simmer for few mins
